Mani Rimdu Festival Trek

The Mani Rimdu Festival is a colourful, noisy occasion that takes place in the most spectacular of settings. The festival conducted for nine days and attended by Sherpas often trek many days to reach to the venue. It starts on the full mood day in the month of October. This concluded by a special blessing ceremony given by Tengboche  Renpoche to the public and world renowned Mask dances performed by the monks at Tengboche Monastery. The festival dates are announced by the Tibetan lunar calendar; if interested to observe this festival along your trek, please make an enquiry on time to avoid any hassles.

The festival falls in October every year and you are requested to make advance booking so that we can calculate the events date and make your trip accordingly. However the rough itinerary is as follow:

Day 01     : receive you at the airport and escort to the hotel.
Day 02    : Kathmandu City tour.
Day 03    : Kathmandu - > Lukla (2840m), fly 30 mins, and trek to Phakding (2640m), 4 hrs
Day 04    : Phakding - > Namche Bazaar (3440m), 6 hrs
Day 05    : Namche Bazaar -> rest to acclimatize
Day 06    : Namche Bazaar - > Tyangboche, (3860m), 5 hrs
Day 07    : Tyangboche - > Dingboche, (4350m), 6 hrs
Day 08    : Dingboche �> rest to acclimatize
Day 09    : Dingboche ->  Lobuche (4925m), 6 hrs
Day 10    : Lobuche -> Gorakshep (5170m) -  > Kalapatthar (5545m)-Gorakshep, 6 hrs
Day 11    : Gorakshep ->  Everest base camp (5210m) - > Gorakshep, 7 hrs
Day 12    : Gorakshep ->  Pheriche (4280m), 6 hrs
Day 13    : Pheriche ->  Tyangboche (3860m), 4 hrs
Day 14    : Monks practice dancing without masks
Day 15    : Giving the blessing to the general public
Day 16    : Famous Mask Dances performed by the monks in a special day long ceremony
                 followed by  the  Sherpa community sing and dance the whole night long.
Day 17:  Concluding Fire Puja.
Day 18    : Tyangboche ->  Namchee Bazaar (3440m), 5 hrs
Day 19     : Namche Bazaar ->  Lukla (2840m), 7hrs
Day 20    : Fly back to Kathmandu 30 minutes.
Day 21  : Departure.

We are out from you here:
*Your food and drinks (eg. Beer or whisky drinks) in Namche or in Kathmandu, and during trek other than mentioned, *Your Travel Insurance which is what you have back home already, *Tourist Entry Visa upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, *matter related your enjoyment, Tips to waiter, alcohol, laundry, and of course your shopping, Expenses occurred due to natural disaster, protest, flight delay, and things out of our hand. We do our best to get out of the situation but we will not take responsibility of your financial loss, destruction, and theft.

**Note: We are happy to offer a complementary to the group leader with above 10 people. We opt not to  put price tag on any of our itineraries  because some of you would want to stay less than 3 star hotels or some more than, some would want to prolong their journey connecting to Jungle safari to white water rafting and stay few days in Kathmandu or some of you want shorten their trip.
