EBC Island Peak Climbing

The name Island is given to this peak because it looks like an island in the sea of ice from Dingboche. It is technically a simple peak to climb located between the Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountains chains and on the top of Chhukung Glacier, it is worthy in terms of self-satisfaction as you can scale up 6173 meter without any specific climbing skills. The view is spectacular from this peak as you are encircled by Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) and more giant mountains. Hence, it makes one of the most popular peaks amongst trekker. The acclimatization is required therefore trekkers are suggested to follow the itinerary. Some trekkers like camping on the higher elevation for more fun, in such  our professional guide who been there more than many times will be able to guide you where to place your camp and where not.

Day 01: receive you at the airport and escort to the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and surroundings
Day 03: Kathmandu- > Lukla flight -> trek Phakding 2610m.
Day 04: Phakding ->  Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 05: Acclimatization in Namche and sight seeing
Day 06: Namche -> Thyangboche 3860m.
Day 07: Thyangboche ->  Pheriche.
Day 08: Pheriche - > Lobuche 4940m.
Day 09: Lobuche ->  Kala Pattar 5554m - > Gorakshep (5180m) 7 hrs.
Day 10: Gorakshep - > Everest Base Camp (5365m) - > Lobuche 7 hrs.
Day 11: Lobuche - > Chhukung 4750m.
Day 12: Chhukung ->  Island Peak base camp 5240m.
Day 13: Island Peak base camp ->  High Camp & preparation day.
Day 14: High Camp ->  Island Peak 6173m. summit & back to Chhukung.
Day 15: Chhukung ->  Pangboche.
Day 16: Pangboche -> Namche via Thyangboche 3860m.
Day 17: Namche Bazar 3440m ->  Lukla 5 hrs.
Day 18: Lukla to Kathmandu flight & escort to hotel
Day 19: You conclude you this journey here
